About the Programme
What age group is Ebright's programme suitable for?
+
Ebright offers public speaking programmes for children and teens aged 4 to 17 years old. We have specially designed classes for different age groups: Little Stars (4–6), Junior Speakers (7–9), Rising Champions (10–12), and Future Leaders (13–17). Each programme is tailored to be age-appropriate and developmentally suitable.
How long is each class and how often do students attend?
+
Classes are held once a week, and each session runs for approximately 60–75 minutes. Each grade (level) consists of 12 weeks, which is equivalent to approximately 3 months of classes.
What is a "batchless system"?
+
Unlike most enrichment centres that only accept new students at the start of a fixed intake, Ebright's batchless system allows students to enrol and start at any time throughout the year. Enrolment is based on the number of classes attended, not by calendar month. Each weekly class covers a distinctive topic, so students can seamlessly join an ongoing group without missing foundational content.
How many students are in each class?
+
We maintain a maximum ratio of 1 coach to 6 students per class. This small group size ensures that every child receives individual attention, personalised feedback, and multiple opportunities to speak during every session.
What does a typical class look like?
+
Each class follows a structured format designed to maximise engagement and learning:
1. Warm-Up Games (~10 min) — Fun activities to get students relaxed, energised, and comfortable with speaking.
2. Topic Workshop (~25 min) — Guided by specially designed worksheets, the coach leads students through the week's speaking topic, covering structure, vocabulary, and delivery techniques.
3. Speaking Practice (~25 min) — Each student presents to the group and receives encouraging, constructive feedback from the coach and peers.
How long before I see results in my child?
+
Most parents begin to notice positive changes in their child's confidence and communication after completing 2 grades, which is approximately 6 months of weekly classes. Some children show improvements even earlier, particularly in their willingness to speak up and participate at school. Public speaking is a skill that develops progressively, and consistency is key.
Enrolment & Scheduling
How do I enrol my child?
+
The easiest way to get started is to book a FREE trial class through our Contact page or by WhatsApping us at 016-9698351. Our team will get in touch to discuss your child's age, level, preferred location (physical or online), and schedule. After the trial, if you'd like to proceed, our team will walk you through the enrolment process.
Do I need to commit to a long-term contract?
+
No long-term contracts. Our programme runs in 12-week grade cycles, and families are free to continue or pause after completing a grade. However, we do recommend staying for at least 2 grades (6 months) to see meaningful, lasting progress.
What if my child misses a class?
+
We understand that life happens! If a class is missed, students can usually arrange a make-up class at an alternative time slot, subject to availability. Please inform our team as early as possible if your child will be absent.
Are there school holiday programmes?
+
Yes! We run intensive school holiday workshop programmes at our Subang Taipan HQ. These are packed with confidence-building activities, debate, emcee training, and drama. Dates and details vary — please contact our marketing team closer to the school holidays for the latest schedule.
Online Classes
Are the online classes pre-recorded or live?
+
All Ebright online classes are 100% live — conducted in real-time via Zoom with a certified Ebright coach and a small group of students. We do not offer pre-recorded lessons. The live format ensures the same quality, interaction, and personalised feedback as our physical classes.
What equipment does my child need for online classes?
+
Your child needs: a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer (recommended over smartphones for a better experience), a stable internet connection (minimum 5 Mbps), a working webcam and microphone, and the free Zoom application installed. We will send the class link before each session.
Can international students join online classes?
+
Absolutely! We currently have students from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and across Southeast Asia and the Middle East in our online classes. Payment methods for international students can be arranged — please contact us to discuss the best option for your country.
Language & Eligibility
My child is not confident in English — can they still join?
+
Yes, absolutely. We welcome students of all English proficiency levels. Our coaches use simple, accessible language and focus on helping students express themselves freely rather than strictly controlling grammar. Confidence and expression come first — grammar develops naturally over time. Many students have joined with limited English ability and grown into fluent, confident communicators.
Is the programme conducted entirely in English?
+
Yes, Ebright's classes are conducted primarily in English. This is part of the programme's value — students not only develop public speaking skills but also build their confidence in using the English language in a supportive, low-pressure setting.
Trinity College London
What is the Trinity College London programme?
+
Ebright is one of the very few centres in Malaysia officially approved by Trinity College London (UK) to run their internationally recognised Communication Skills assessment. This is an advanced one-to-one coaching track where students prepare for and sit a formal communication skills exam. Successful candidates receive a UK-certified certificate, which is recognised globally and highly valued in education and career contexts.
Who is the Trinity College London programme suitable for?
+
The Trinity pathway is available to more advanced students who have already developed a solid foundation in public speaking. It is most commonly pursued by students in our Future Leaders programme (ages 13–17), though younger students with strong language skills may also be considered. Our coaches will advise when a student is ready to begin Trinity preparation.
